With our survey results in hand we are continuing our Engagement work in partnership with our new Employee Empowerment Committee.  The Committee met last Thursday, July 25th to review the engagement survey results in more detail and for deep discussion around what it’s like to work at the Y.  We captured some great feedback around career opportunity, transparency and fairness in compensation, staff appreciation, onboarding, and inclusion. All employees will be provided with opportunity to provide additional feedback and insight into their own experience through a series of focus groups occurring throughout August and September. The focus group schedule is as follows:

Focus Group Session #1

August 22nd, 2019

10 am – 11:30 am

Wyse Road Employment Centre – Dartmouth, NS

Focus Group Session #2

August 29th, 2019

Community YMCA – Halifax, NS

Focus Group Session #3

October 3rd, 2019

The information collected throughout our focus group sessions will help guide us in our Engagement work as we move forwards. To register for a session please contact Amy Rector, Human Resources Manager via email at amy.rector@halifax.ymca.ca or by calling (902) 579-8177.
