Meet Amanda, our new Campaign Coordinator! Amanda is a compassionate and motivated administrative professional with a broad range of experience including public and donor relations, event promotion and management, hospitality, data management, and peer-to-peer fundraising support. Her most recent role was as a Gift Processing Clerk and Donor Services Representative with the Canadian Cancer Society here in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys reading sci-fi and biographical works, meditation, and spending time in nature hiking the beautiful coastal trails across the province.

Her strong sense of community was sparked growing up with her mother serving in the Canadian Armed Forces and finding ‘home’ in the many Military Family Resources Centres across Canada. She was an active member of the Youth Advisory Committee at CFB Greenwood where she developed interest in the values of leadership and connection within communities. She has also volunteered with other organizations such as United Way Halifax and the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia to support advocating for the total health – mind, body, and spirit – of all individuals.

Amanda is incredibly excited to be a part of an inspired team dedicated to empowering people of all ages, abilities, incomes, and cultures to come together and make healthy lifestyle choices. Welcome, Amanda!
