Sarah is a keen professional fundraiser and community builder with a background in both non-profit and postsecondary advancement.  She enjoys working in the community development field, getting to use her educational background rooted in International Development Studies and Liberal Arts.  Having received her Certified Fundraising Executive designation in 2017, she brings expertise and passion to her role. Sarah’s personal interests align very well with the Y’s values of building stronger, healthier communities.  Outside of work, she can be found at the Local Council of Women in Halifax – hosting events and programming for other women’s groups as the President of that organization.  In the summer, she dedicates her free time to Galifax! Girls Camp – her small non-profit that offers creative leadership opportunities for young girls and non-binary children.  She also sits as Director of the Board for the Association of Fundraising Professionals in Nova Scotia and Global Shapers Halifax. Sarah lives in Halifax’s West End with her partner Adam, her cat Marg, and her dog Percy Doodle.
