“It’s seeing those individuals who have nothing, experience everything. The Y opens up doors for children, families, seniors, newcomers and so many more. My passion for seeing these individuals thrive – and knowing I helped facilitate that – is what motivates me to come into work with a smile each morning.”
Shannon Kennedy , Communications Assistant, Bachelor of Public Relations Student 2017
“I am in constant awe of the number of children, youth, and families the YMCA supports every day. I am proud to be able to be part of that.”
Stephen Cochrane , Member, YMCA Board of Director 2015
“For the YMCA holistically, it’s trying our best to make sure that every child has the opportunity to be involved in our programs no matter what their financial situation is. That’s huge. I think that’s one of the things that as an employee of the Y, that I’m most proud of. It’s the fact that we go out of our way to make that every child has every opportunity no matter what. I love that.”
